What started in the early 80s when Ann Berlips and George Cramer, true vintage fans, sold their finest finds at the Noordermarkt, became an internationally successful brand that’s synonymous with freedom, optimism and individuality.
King Louie is quirky. And we’re proud of that. We walk our own way. In everything we do. We are colourful, even if the whole world is black and white. We are cheerful, also when nobody else is. We are crazy about prints, even if the rest prefers plain. Not because we want to be different. But because that is just who we are.
Every new collection starts with prints. And these prints are always inspired by vintage prints and patterns.
Our design team goes vintage shopping every year, adding new inspirational items to our in house vintage archive. We translate vintage into the fashion of today
