CIRCULAR COLLECTION

LESS WASTE, MORE MEANING

99% of all textile waste ends up destroyed, dumped, or lost forever. *
We don't just want to avoid adding to this percentage, we want to positively change it.

Made from textile waste

Meet our most sustainable collection to date. Waar we meer hebben gecreëerd door minder te gebruiken. Met het minimaliseren van afval als onze prioriteit zijn we aan de slag gegaan.

In a time where the impact of the fashion industry on the environment is undeniable, we actively seek ways to make our collections more sustainable and reduce our impact on the planet.

By exploring circular, repair and rental initiatives, King Louie is actively taking part in the transition to a more conscious fashion industry.

The next chapter of textiles

We're taking the next step by investing in innovative materials. With a focus on minimizing environmental impact, we work with existing materials and make use of the abundance of resources already in circulation.

Amongst all this, it is important that our quality does not fall short. These ambitions took us on a long, challenging path to find a suitable partner. Through fases of trial and error, rejection and auditing after 2 years we finally found our match.

"We are proud to introduce CIRCULOSE® in our SS26 collection. These pieces not only look great and feel good - they also tell a bigger story about the future of fashion."

- Jeroen Dijkema, Managing Director, King Louie

CIRCULOSE®

CIRCULOSE® is a new material made by recycling cotton from worn-out clothes and production waste. Textile-to-textile recycling, a closed loop.

By integrating CIRCULOSE®, we can reduce our reliance on raw materials. We are proud to play a part in accelerating the adoption of next-generation materials across the fashion and textile industry.

Comfort without compromise

The result of our collaboration: a beautiful collection filled with different pieces for every day. This collection is proof to us that fashion and circularity can go hand in hand - without compromising on style or quality.

Transparency across the entire chain is an important matter. Because only if you know where your garments come from and what they are made of, can you really take steps towards an honest and sustainable chain.

Because circular, recycled yarn is not yet sturdy enough to create a strong product, we still need to add raw materials to ensure that it matches our quality standard and handfeel.

The mix we used for this collection:

  • Tulum pieces = 48% Circulose + 48% Tencel + 4% Elastane
  • Playa Denim pieces = 54% Organic Cotton + 46% Circulose

Our ultimate goal: make clothes from textile waste in a way that requires zero raw materials.

This collaboration is a step in the right direction. By 2030, we want 25% of our entire collection to be circular.
