LENZING™ ECOVERO™ is a certified variant of viscose, developed by the Austrian company Lenzing AG. It has the lightness, sheen and comfort of regular viscose. According to Lenzing, making it generates at least 50% lower emissions and water consumption than generic viscose.
Viscose is a semi-natural fiber: it is made from natural wood fibers but processed into a wearable fabric through a chemical process. The certified sort, LENZING™ ECOVERO™, is made from wood originating from certified and verified resources. According to Lenzing, the chemicals that are being used in production are recycled in the production.

Clothing made from LENZING™ ECOVERO™ is lightweight, comfortable, silky soft, breathable, and slightly glossy. It is similar to materials like Tencel and Lyocell. The thing that differs is the care: TENCEL™ Lyocell tends to be more senstive to color loss and needs a milder washing program.
